The Walt Disney Family Museum {An Inspiring Visit}

I, like most people I know LOVE Disney. The world, the land, the movies, the merchandise, all of it. There is just something magical about all of it. It reminds of what it means to be a child, to have faith and hope that never runs out. To dream of flying, being a princess, finding true love, it touches something in all of us. While I have always considered the man behind the mouse when I think of all Disney offers I knew nothing about him.

That was then…

Walt Disney Family

Now, I know a lot about Walt Disney, and want to know more!

When we visited the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco, FL in March I fell in love with the man who started it all. He aspired to do something great, came from extremely humble beginnings, and overcame more than most people realize.

People like this inspire me to do all I can, dream big, and never give up!

I love the museum because it is a lot like Walt was, it’s a storyteller! As you enter the first room you hear about his childhood, his family, and what his life was like, as you move from room to room, Walt gets older, and you learn more about his life. His life is truly fascinating. We didn’t have very much time to get through the museum so I missed a lot, but I really loved every minute that I spent in that museum!

  • Here are a few of my favorite quotes from the walls of the museum:
  • ”Sometimes your biggest failure can lead you to your biggest success.”
  • “Sometimes you build yourself up and explode. Then you have to pick up the pieces and take stock.”
  • “Sometimes it’s fun to do the impossible”

I was struggling with so much pain from my upcoming divorce, and seeing all Walt Disney went through, and all he accomplished was very inspiring to me. It filled me with encouragement and hope, and I really really hope that I get to visit again, so I can take my time and spend all day there!Walt Disney

Here’s some basic info about the Walt Disney Family Museum:
